PMI Smoke Vest – On-body Smoke System

The PMI Smoke Vest is a wearable smoke harness that makes the effect part of your costume. Pair it with a compatible PMI fog machine and route smoke to the torso, arms, head or props for character reveals, cosplay, film, portraits and live performance. Its protective pouch, adjustable straps and built-in tubing bring the setup together in one ready-to-wear system.

The PMI Smoke Vest is purpose-built for on-body smoke effects. A dedicated heat-resistant protective pouch holds the compatible PMI fog machine, adjustable straps secure the harness, and tubing carries smoke to your chosen effect points.

 Use only a compatible PMI machine and follow the fitting and operating instructions. Keep hot machine parts away from skin and costume materials, and direct outlets away from the wearer’s face. Rehearse the complete setup before performing, with the machine accessible for adjustments and shutdown.

Yes. The PMI Smoke Vest brings wearable smoke effects to outdoor cosplay shoots, portraits and performances. Gavin Hoey’s woodland portrait shoot shows the vest in action with wrist-mounted tubing and wireless triggering.

Work with the breeze when positioning the performer and smoke outlets: wind changes the direction, shape and visibility of the effect. Rehearse in the conditions you will perform in and keep the fog machine dry.

The PMI Smoke Vest includes a splash-proof, heat-resistant protective pouch for the fog machine. Splash protection applies to the pouch; it does not make the complete fog machine and vest system waterproof or suitable for unrestricted weather exposure.

 Keep the machine dry and protected from rain. Do not immerse the setup or use it where water can reach the electronics.

Route the effect to the torso, arms or head, then adapt the layout with the included extra tubing.
